About the Author

About the Author, Calligrapher, and Cover Artist for My Memory Book

The Author:  Gretchen Gaines-Lane, LCSW-C, is a Pediatric Bereavement Specialist in private practice. Ms. Gaines-Lane has an MA in Education and Theological Studies, Union Theological Seminary, New York, and an MSW from Catholic University NCSSS in Washington, DC. Previously, she has held positions at Georgetown University Hospital, Johns Hopkins University Hospital, and Montgomery (County, Maryland) Hospice Society. She has been speaker/consultant to Children's Hospital International and National Hospice Organization. She is the mother of a lovely, grown daughter, Christina.

The Calligrapher:  Mary Lou O'Brien is a calligrapher from the Washington, DC area. Past president of the Washington Calligraphers Guild, former White House calligrapher, and a professional lettering artist since 1986, Mary Lou currently divides her time between the D.C. lettering studio Inkwell, Inc., and her private clients, such as Chi Rho Press.

The Cover ArtistCraig Arnold, currently resides in Takoma Park, Maryland, and has a BGS and a BFA from the University of Maryland, where he is currently employed in a totally unrelated field to support his meager life style, to which he would like to become unaccustomed once he is discovered as an artist. He is a member of the Metropolitan Community Church of Washington, DC, where he sings in the Gospel Choir, and is a former member of the Board of Directors of Chi Rho Press.
